Great tips, Rachel. I’ve just signed up for TBEX Manila, and as I think I fall into your former category–a blogger still needing to learn a lot!–I hope I get something out of it. I figured if all else fails, at least I’ll get to spend a few days/couple of weeks in the Philippines, a new country for me :)

Thanks for sharing, Rachel! I was at TBEX Asia and I enjoyed it a great deal. I was also in the session with Alex and Katie, and thought their points were right on the mark. I learned a heap from everyone there and am looking forward to Manila later this year. Great idea you gave about bringing along some media kits – I didn’t have any when I sorely needed a couple, but live and learn. :) Thanks again for your thoughts, and great job on your blog – loving the posts and the photos! I love reading this Rachel. It was such a shame that I couldn’t attend TBEX in Bangkok, as I heard that it was a lot of fun!
Your tips are bang on though as I too, went to the TBEX conference in Costa Brava (Spain) for the very first time this year, and even I was a little nervous to meet so many bloggers in one space. Funnily enough, I was surprised at just how many bloggers I knew and how many other bloggers had been reading my stuff too. That was rather nice!
